The following Grantmakers plan to have representatives at the Conference:
Paul G. Allen Family Foundation - UPDATE: We are sorry to say that they had to cancel their participation. 10/8
The Foundation sets a priority on funding projects serving communities where the Cheney Lumber Company was active. This area includes: Tacoma and Pierce County, Southwestern Washington, Southwestern Oregon, particularly around the Medford area, and portions of Del Norte, Humboldt, Lassen, Shasta, Siskiyou, and Trinity counties in California. The Foundation's goal is to improve the quality of life in those communities by making grants to a wide range of activities. The Foundation generally wants to see 20 to 24 months between when a grant has been made and the submission of another proposal letter.
Generosity is a catalyst. It creates hope and possibility. When people decide to give, a community is strengthened. We are both a grantmaker and a vehicle for donors to accomplish their philanthropic dreams. The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound serves Thurston, Lewis and Mason counties.
Our Pacific Northwest initiative supports projects in two areas: Pacific Northwest Community Grants and Housing & Homelessness. The Pacific Northwest Community Grants only fund organizations that provide human services to economically disadvantaged communities in Washington state and the greater Portland area, including Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. We only accept LOI from 501(c)(3), tribes, and other tax-exempt organizations. The Housing & Homelessness grants program does not accept unsolicited proposals or letters of inquiry (LOI).
Goldberg Family Charitable Foundation - UPDATE: We are sorry to say that they had to cancel their participation. 10/24

We support local communities in all their dimensions -- from arts, culture, recreation and education to social services, economic development, and the quality of local health care. The breadth of our support depends on the interests and generosity of our donors. By helping donors help their communities through charitable giving, we are working for the long-term benefit of Grays Harbor County.
Areas of interest include: Historic Preservation - our primary interest in this area as architectural preservation; Native Wildlife Rehabilitation and Appreciation - almost exclusively limited to nonprofits managed by state- and federally-licensed wildlife rehabilitators; Health Care Policy - to support activities that promote a societal systemic policy to advance the rights and dignity of the individual; and, The Betty Kinsman Fund for Arts, Culture and Humanities - makes grants supporting literary arts, the performing arts of theater and music, and the visual arts of photography and fine arts. We expect to continue to initiate some grants not included in these areas, consistent with the interests of our current Directors. Grants are made only for activities benefiting Oregon and southern Washington.
We focus on improving the lives of Puget Sound residents by funding programs that help people achieve self-sufficiency. Our primary areas of funding include: Housing and homelessness, Youth development Hunger, Education, Family support, and Economic Development. While the majority of funding goes to King, Snohomish and Pierce counties, the Foundation actively seeks to fund organizations in all of the counties of the funding region. The Medina Foundation serves 14 counties in the greater Puget Sound region, including Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor, Pacific, Mason, Thurston, Kitsap and Pierce Counties.
The Northwest Health Foundation UPDATE: We are sorry to say that they had to cancel their participation. 10/13
